Another lovely warm and sunny day at Salisbury greeted the Stragglers in Paul Bakers penultimate event as captain this year, unfortunately for Paul he obtained the wooden spoon from Phil Colmer on countback that came down to the very last hole! At the other end of the leaderboard, we saw an early clubhouse leader with Phil Curl finishing on 41 points, a steady round by Andy Heyes again with 40 points good enough to edge ahead of Alan Green in this years Order of Merit (they were tied going into this event). However it was a fantastic round by Paul Marks including an eagle chip in on the par 5 16th which resulted in a massive 44 points, good enough to take home the Autumn Trophy. Must of been all that practice playing in Scotland.

We all enjoyed a hearty meal of steak pie for the presentation of the awards and roll on the next event.
