As previous captains have done, Andy is seeking to raise money for charity this year and will let everyone know his chosen charity at Ferndown. As this is the 50th year of the Stragglers, he is planning one or two different fund-raisers and hopes very much that he will have the strong support of the Stragglers.
At this first event, a professional photographer, Brian Lipscombe, will come along for an hour or two at 12 noon. Brian will take photos on the first tee of all the groups and individual photos of everyone teeing off. He will also wander the first half-a-dozen holes and get some more shots of everyone on the course.
Andy hopes that everyone will be happy to contribute £10 at this first event to cover entry into the twos competition, draw for a free event and unlimited access to all Brian's photos.
Andy will also run a small auction of three lots at the dinner.
Dress code for golf - Society t-shirts should be worn. Tailored trousers or shorts are compulsory and, for those that have them, 'pinkies' should be worn (no denim, beach-wear, etc.).
