The Captain's Drive-In is the first 'Order of Merit' event of the year and signifies the taking up of the reigns by Phil Green, the captain for 2012.

The Captain's Drive-In in 2012 will be held at Blackmoor Golf Club on Friday 2nd March. The champion in 2011, Matt Daly, will not be defending his title so a new name will definitely appear on the trophy!

Final arrangements for the event are as follows:

Meet - from 11am onwards; tea/coffee and bacon roll on arrival

Tee-times - from 12 noon to 1pm

18 holes - stableford competition - full handicap

Prizes - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 'High Handicapper', 'Longest Drive', 'Nearest the Pin', 'Nearest the Pin in Two', wooden spoon

2-course dinner, presentations and draw for the KO Trophy - 6pm

Please note the following:

dress code on the course - usual smart golf attire - Stragglers shirts and pinkies for those who have them

we need to ensure play is continuous - please find all means, including picking up if no score is possible, to increase the pace of play

dress code for the meal - jacket and Stragglers tie compulsory

please can we have a volunteer to write a humorous report on the day for the website

we will assume you are all happy to have photos of you taken on the day and included on the website unless you indicate otherwise

3rd party liability insurance is your responsibility - members of RWGC and, possibly, other clubs have this; non-members of clubs should find their own cover
