Details for the fifth and final event of 2011, the 'Don Marks' Winter Shield, have now been finalised.

The format of the day is as follows:

• Meet – from 9.00am; tea/coffee and bacon roll on arrival

• Tee-times – from 10.00am to 11.30am

• 18 holes – stableford competition – full handicap

• Prizes - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, High-handicappers, ‘Longest Drive’, ‘Nearest the Pin’, ‘Nearest the Pin in Two’, wooden spoon

• Presentations for the day's golf - 4.30pm

• 2-course dinner; presentations – 6.30pm for 7.00pm

  • Disco - 9.00pm

  • Carriages - midnight

• Cost for the full day - £40, Cost for meal/disco - £20

This competition forms the final leg of the 'Straggler of the Year' Order of Merit 2011.

Dress code for golf - Society t-shirts must be worn - or a fine will be incurred! Pink trousers for those who have them. Tailored trousers or shorts (no denim, beach-wear, etc.).

Dress code for the evening - Jacket and Society tie are compulsory for men, and the 'Fines Master' will be on the lookout! Ladies just need to look gorgeous!!!
